  • 52 SKUs offered by Intel, with support for 1, 2, 4, and 8-socket machines.
  • Up to 60 cores/socket.
  • Support for DDR5, PCIe Gen5, CXL 1.1, and onboard HBM2e (up to 64GB).
  • Only Xeon MAX products (limited to 1S/2S) have onboard HBM2e, and carry a heavy premium for it.
  • All Xeon Scalable Sapphire Rapids SKUs support AVX-512, Deep Leaning Boost (DLBoost), and Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX) instructions.
  • Supports up to 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes/socket and 8 channel DDR5/socket (up to 4800mhz).
  • 9x4RDIMM support, 3DS RDIMM support
  • Requires a new motherboard and new memory
  • Uses the same performance core as Alder Lake and Raptor Lake “Golden Cove”, boosting L2 cache from 1.25MB to 2MB/core, and L3 from 1.5MB to 1.875MB/core.
  • All product families have models peaking at 350W, but Xeon MAX is only 350W.
  • Support for Optane Persistent Memory PMem 300 series, though this functionality limits DDR5 speeds to 4400mhz.
