Revopoint releases MetroX Scanner that can do it all

3D scanning technology manufacturer Revopoint has announced the Revopoint MetroX 3D Scanner, which is now available to purchase.

The scanner features a hybrid multi-line laser and full-field structured light to capture both small and medium objects with an accuracy of up to 0.3 mm and a precision of up to 0.01 mm.

It is designed for versatility and can scan objects with a wide variety of shapes, sizes and textural details.

The full-field mode uses 62 blue structured light lines to create point clouds of objects at up to 7 million points per second. This feature can be used for both complex and featureless objects.

Additionally, the MetroX scanner also has an Auto Turntable mode, which provides the fully automated capture of small objects to create a digital twin.

Blue laser scanning is also available, meaning that there is no need for scanning spray when working with glossy or black items.

The 14 blue laser Cross Lines are intended for scanning large surface areas, and the 7 blue laser Parallel Lines capture fine details and complex surfaces.

The suggested retail price of the scanner is $999. Potential buyers can also contribute to Revopoint’s Kickstarter campaign to introduce a discount of 35%, reducing the original price to $649.

Since its launch in 2014, Revopoint has become the number 1 backed company in Kickstarter’s 3D category, and the top global seller of 3D scanners.

The release of the MetroX scanner follows the success of the Revopoint Miraco, which was launched in November 2023.
